Reinstall k2studio on windows 7

Symptoms


I have installed K2 studio on my pc (Windows 7 ) without problem
I have removed the application using the remove program of the k2 setup manager without problem.
If now I try to reinstall again k2Studio the procedure doesn't ask me the installation type and folder but ask me a license .
 

Diagnoses


Please see the below article there might be some remnants of the previous setup still on the pc that needs to be removed.

Resolution

I haved delete the registry key, located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > SourceCode and the problem is solved.

      Hi Nicolaas,

       

      Please can you let me know how you were able to install K2 Studio on Windows 7 machine?

      We are badly looking for a option to install it on Windows 7 - 64bit machine and for K2 4.7 version. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

      Unfortunately K2 4.7 is not compatible with windows 7.


      This article was related to a K2 4.6.11 installation on windows 7 which is the last supported K2 version.
