Reading AD Attributes

Does the workflow allow reading from the Active Directory Attributes of a user. For example, If you want to read from AD the name of the CIO of the company and assign them to a task, what is the best way to go around this ?
Resolution
The best way to get around this would be to create a role with the users within them. Or better yet as you may be using K2 designer, it would be better to create AD groups to be able to add users to have their own designated department, so when you are selecting the destination you would just need to place it in the destination.
