Your requirement and issue is not clear. Could you please explain a bit more?

Are you using Current Date for comparison? Can you try CurrentDate CurrentTime combination for comparison if you are comparing against Date-Time field?

I am using date only field to query list if the present date is equal to today's date then only it has to fetch the records

I have compared the today's date and blank date time variable with the workflow context current date then also its not returning any items
