Problem enabling K2 Smartobject services Endpoints
 

Diagnoses

When attempting to enable (HTTPS) and access the SmartobjectServices the error below occurs:

We cannot access https://k2.denallix.com:8443/smartobjectservices/endpoints/endpoints.xml because we get the following error:
"401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied."
 

Resolution

After re-configuring the SmartobjectServices as per:
https://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2blackpearl/devref/current/default.htm_windows_authentication_with_ssl_for_k2_smartobject_services.html

and running the 'netsh' commands we were seeing a timeout error when attempting to access the SmartobjectServices endpoints. Using telnet, we determined that the specified port 8443 was not open opening this port for the firewall resolved the timeout error.
