Symptoms

The SaveAsPDF control was snapshotting pdfs but causing some rather alarming discombobulation of the controls and was scattering things about.
 

Diagnoses

The SaveAsPDF was not using the Use Web Kit functionality which was designed so the control wouldn't have to deal with the settings of a given IE browser.
 

Resolution

By setting the Use Web Kit feature to true we were able to bypass the IE settings and this allowed the control to render appropriate, nice looking pdfs.
