PDF Converter fails to load SmartForm View for conversion to PDF. SSL error

Diagnoses

We have an issue where we are using the PDF converter action in a process to load and convert a view to a PDF for attaching to an email. This works in 2 environments (DEV and UAT) but the PROD environment fails with an SSL error when the converter tries to load the url of the view. The host service and smartforms are located on the smae server. I have tested browsing to the view from the browser on the server as both an admin and as the service account and both do not display SSL errors. No information appears in a Fiddler trace. A procmon trace shows the request being made and I can infer the error point, but insufficient information is in the trace to determine why the certificate does not get accepted. Any help would be appreciated.

Resolution

The Server will use the Settings configured via IE for that User . So any Proxy/Trusted Site configuration that needs to be done needs to be performed and set in IE logged on with the K2 Service account

see if this helps get more detail around the error
