Im sure this is a simple task but I have a question. I have created a datalabel on a form that uses an expression to create a custom reference number. I want to use that number in task notification emails but it doesnt seem to be available from the context menu. I was thinking I could pass it to a form parameter to access it from there. Any suggestions?

If i understood u right , u want to pass the value from form data label , to the workflow to use it in a notification ,
and if u r using k2 studio for workflow , from left pane , context browser u could add a process data field ,
then on ur form , in ur "start workflow" or "action worklist item" rule , open its "configure" and you will see the data field u created in k2 studio ,
in this step u could send the data label from ur form to the workflow ,

You can do that by adding datafields to your workflow and then map your data label with the corresponding datafields in the "action worklist item" rule
