Paging controls have disappeared from the workspace
Diagnoses
After a certain amount of process instances (20 ) are on the same page the paging controls can disappear.
Resolution
As something to try to alleviate the problem, what you can do is Press F11 on IE to go full screen and then press it again so that the JavaScript reconfigures the window. After which the controls should become is visible again.
