Symptoms

The following error is seen on any Smartforms-Integrated workflow item that is deployed to an environment after upgrading to 4.6.9:

Post-Deployment : Type 'SourceCode.Framework.DuplicateNameException' in Assembly 'SourceCode.Framework, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=16a2c5aaaa1b130d' is not marked as serializable.
Type 'SourceCode.Framework.DuplicateNameException' in Assembly 'SourceCode.Framework, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=16a2c5aaaa1b130d' is not marked as serializable.

The same package that is throwing this error when containing a workflow works on other environments, and the error itself is located to just one environment.

 

Diagnoses

This is an issue with the Package and Deployment configuration on the offending destination environment.
 

Resolution

Uninstalling and then re-installing Package and Deployment on the environment where the error is being seen seems to fix the issue. You can do this following the below steps:

1. Run K2 blackpearl Setup Manager
2. Select the "Modify" option
3. Uncheck the box next to K2 Package and Deployment and then continue through the configuration until finished.
4. Re-run the K2 blackpearl Setup Manager
5. Select the "Modify" option
6. Re-check the box next to K2 Package and Deployment and then continue through the configuration until finished.
7. Attempt to redeploy your desired Package and Deployment package.
