Ok,

Thanks to you guys, been making big leaps in using smartforms, my latest project uses workflows to send a request to a manager to aprpove/decline it.

I have a meeting tomorrow about this, and I know for a fact that one of the questions is going to be "oh yes, your using K2, but what happens when a Manager is out of the office, will the request just sit in their inbox if they are away on holiday?"

I'm created seperate Task Groups in my Workflow for each Department and have a manager assigned for each one, but I was wondering if its possible to setup out of office if the manager in one department is off, the email will automatically go to a backup manager (same department) , is this possible?

Thanks,

P.S. Managers are using Microsoft Exchange, so does k2 detect their out of office status?

Hi Sharpharp1,

Please have look at the links below which discusses  how to set up out of office.

Along with the out of office, I've encountered where some managers just don't want to go into the application to do the approval.  You'll have to do some monitoring in the beginning, checking on those stubborn managers.
