Symptoms

 

When registering a V4 OData service against the OData Service broker, we get the following error:

This happens when using both K2 Management and SmartObject Service tester to register to service instance. 




 

Diagnosis

 

From our documentation, we have only tested up to Version 3.0 of OData

Solution

 

Currently, K2 does not support OData version 4. This will require a re-write of the existing broker. 

 

 

 

Possible workarounds:

 
    1. Use OData version 3
 
    1. Create a web service as an intermediary between K2 and OData endpoint

Precisely.. But it seems K2 hasn't made a broker for v4

For everyone interested in new/non implemented features right channel for requesting that is a K2 Ideas site (https://ideas.k2.com) - this site is used by Product Management to monitor demand and triage different ideas/feature requests. As for OData 4.0 support there is an existing idea which has been logged for quite some time ago - https://ideas.k2.com/ideas/APIT-I-484 and its current status is "Future Consideration" (which already mean it has not been discarded and has a good chances to be implemented in the product), but the more clients/partners will be voting for that idea the more weght and priority it will get.
