Symptoms
During deployment, the following error was found in the log file:-
error : Notification Service: Task Error: System.Exception: System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing.
Diagnoses
It was found that this is a newly set up environment.
Resolution
The error usually means that the MSDTC is not setup correctly on the new environment. Please ensure that:-
1. The MSDTC has been enabled and configured on both the K2 Server and DB server. You can refer to the help guide: http://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/K2blackpearl/ICG/current/webframe.html_MSDTC.html
2. If then environment have firewall, do ensure that the ports are open.
