Symptoms


Whenever you search for a group or groups using the context browser in K2 Workflow Designer, not all groups that exist in AAD/AD show up.

In this particular case the customer has their Groups/Security Groups synced to AAD, and some of these groups do not show up when searching for them via the context browser in K2 Workflow Designer.
 

Diagnoses


The User Task Participant search bar only returns/searches andlt 100 items. And, when searching for a specific group the search appears to only filter through andlt 100 items, thereby returning zero items if the specific group is searched "later", alphabetically.
The issue does not appear to be dependent on the group type.
 

Resolution

This has been identified as a defect and currently on schedule to be fixed in a future update/release of Appit.

In the meantime you can work around this limitation by setting up the missing groups as data fields, and using that to do the assignments in the workflow steps.
