"(no title)" is being displayed on Edit and Display SmartForms in SharePoint
 

Diagnoses

Some SharePoint forms (generated automatically by K2) don't have their page title populated correctly.
When a user goes to "New Form" they can see a correct title and link (see k2-notitle-2.png, blue rectangle).
However, if they go to View or Edit form, there is "(no title)" text displayed - a user can still click on it and return to the list.

 

Resolution

The reason why you see (No Title) when editing or viewing an item which has been added to the List, is because the list was created without a Title property.

Under normal circumstances, when no Title exist on a list, SharePoint will only show a blank space.

The only solution is to have Title column.

Please note that in Edit/View we show the title of the item not the name of the list.
