Symptoms

Customer is new to K2 Appit Management and accidentally orphaned a SmartObject by deleting the Service Instance FIRST. The orphaned SMO is located under the SQL Server Instance and the entire folder "SQL Server - Data Warehouse" needs to be deleted.
 

Diagnoses

Asked if the customer could see the SMO on the artifacts page from which it was created. The customer indicated he created the SmartObject in the K2 Management section. When he tried to delete it via the K2 Designer, he received the following error: "Inconsistency detected on SmartObject ' dbo].]REF_REGION]'. Service Instance 'SQL_Server_-_Data_Warehouse' not found during loading of SmartObject Definition.". Support forwarded the ticket to Labs, who forwarded it to OPS.
 

Resolution

OPS created a backup of the customers DB and then deleted the SMO. The customer verified it was gone.
