We would like to change the service account of our Production Servers. This is not about changing the password of service accounts but changing the account itself. Please provide a recommend way or best practice steps for this.

Resolution

 

 

 

In order to change the K2 Service, you need to perform a K2 re-configure using the Blackpearl Setup Manager, select "Configure K2 blackpearl". Run through the setup wizard until you see the screen for the "Service Account Configuration", here you can provision the new K2 Service Account as needed:

In addition, the account credential needs to re-cache in K2Workspace SSO. If you use the service account statically or for Exchange, those things would break. You would have to go into each broken item and update the account manually. Please take note that you would have to re-run the setup manager of all K2 components -SmartForm and ControlPack and K2 for SharePoint to update the service account credentials. You must also ensure that the same rights and permissions are granted as per documentation earlier.
