Multiple Choice options being saved as ID's

Hello!

I think I'm going a little mad....

I've created a lookup list, which I use as my source for List Lookup Fields. I want to save the choices as text into a text field.

When editing I see this...

On viewing the form I see this...

The data saved in the file also just shows the ID's.

I should be seeing , DMS, NAV1, Other.

Field is set to save to text.

If I set the Display Format to Drop Down List (Single Choice Only ) it shows the text.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

Ok so as a work around, instead of the lookup list multiple choice field being tied to a text field, I recreated them as a lookup to the source list.

Then linked the List lookup field to that.

Saves the items as expected.
