Symptoms

As suggested in another Ticket _103424, I will be using Scenario _3 ( http://help.k2.com/kb001356 ) for setting up prod environment few days before going live.
-however on go live date, we will be moving latest prod db again.
-Should we be running K2 set up again? as moved db will be from previous K2 BP version and K2 server will have new version binary files installed.
-Do I need to do Scenario _4 in this scenario?
 

Diagnoses

Customer clarified his need to move prod DB a second time as follows:
"We are building New K2 server and DB server, so before installing K2 on new K2 server, we move DB files from old version server to new DB server, and run K2 setup. This will give me latest version of K2 on my new set of servers. I test these servers and decide to go live, lets say 2 weeks after this installation. My old servers were live till then, and they will have this 2 weeks incremental data which is missing on my new set of servers (which has snapshot of 2 weeks ago), so I need to move latest DB again on go live date and time.
 

Resolution

On go live date, customer will first need to migrate the database and then use scenario _4 of this documentation titled "Installing and Upgrading K2 after Database or Server Relocation": http://help.k2.com/kb001356
