Issue
You will receive the following error when trying to deploy a process from K2 Designer:
“Missing reference at SmartObjectField . Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.. Stack Location : K2Process 'Test' > Stack End.”
Symptoms
This type of error can be caused by an incorrect security setting on the Default Environment Library. As per the screenshot below, the Security setting for the Default Environment Library was incorrectly set to only allow Administrators to read and modify.
Troubleshooting Steps
Removing the account from the Default Environment Library Security Setting will resolve the issue.
