Symptoms

In K2 Designer for Sharepoint we do not see the List Item Wizards for Sharepoint. These are the only missing wizards at the moment. Development server has these wizards but production server does not. They are both on the same version of K2 Blackpearl, 4.6.11.

Diagnoses

Most likely these wizards were missed during the initial install of K2 for Sharepoint. Doing a repair of K2 for Sharepoint will ensure that those wizards are added in properly.

After K2 smartforms repair we saw that we got a "Thread 1 Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error when accessing the K2 app from a sharepoint list or library. We then decided to run the Registration Wizard via the K2 app on that sharepoint site.

Resolution

Running through registration wizard eliminated Object Reference error when accessing app and also brought back the missing wizards. Registration wizard was run before the repair was done earlier in the day but it did not have this impact. Most likely the best steps for solving this issue are as follows:

1) Run through repair of K2 for Sharepoint. Use caution as this will clear any custom configurations done with K2. If repair is not possible at the time we can redeploy the "K2 for Sharepoint 2013.kspx" package in the directory of C:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlK2 for Sharepoint 2013 Setup. Although this package looks as if it only deploys forms, views, and smartobjects it actually also adds in these wizards. This package is automatically deployed when the K2 for Sharepoint install or repair is done.
2) Run registration wizard through K2 App on Sharepoint site to refresh the list of wizards available in the Workflow Designer.
3) Wizards should now appear.

The list of wizards for the K2 Designer can be seen in the DB under the table lDesigner].rProcessExtendedEvent]. If a particular wizard does not show up in here, most likely it was not installed. Otherwise it is possible that it exists here but is also has the column excluded set to 1. This means it will not be included when the Registration wizard is run.
