Symptoms
You are unable to see some K2 smartforms environment variable(s) in K2 Workspace despite the fact that it is being present in respective table in K2 database ([Environment].[Field]).
Diagnoses
You may see this behavior when K2 smartforms and K2 blackpearl are installed on one server, but K2 Workspace is installed on a separate web server.
If this is the case then K2 smartforms client components have to be installed on the separate K2 Workspace server in order to see the SmartForms environment fields.
Resolution
In order to see K2 smartforms environment variables in K2 Workspace when workspace is installed on a separate web serve from K2 smartforms K2 smartforms client components have to be installed on the K2 Workspace server.
