Symptoms

Customer recently upgraded their test environment to 4.6.11. Upon launching the K2 Designer, many of the categories are not shown. This is shown in the attached designer.jpg screen shot. When the customer goes into package and deployment and adds items to a package, he can see all of the categories listed. This is shown in the PandD.jpg screenshot. Customer suspects a security setting Would like to know how to view all of the available categories in the designer.
 

Diagnoses

In the lower left corner of the designer screen there is a label named "Show". Even though it says "(All)" next to the label, clicking on "(All)" revealed that the System Objects Box was not selected. The word "All" apparently refers only to SmartObjects, Views, Forms, and Workflows.
 

Resolution

Resolution: Clicking "(All)" and selecting the Systems Objects Box revealed the missing categories
