Migration from SharePoint 2010 to 2013

Diagnoses

Currently, we have a SharePoint 2010 farm integrated with K2 BlackPearl (4.6.6), we are migrating to a SharePoint 2013 On-Premise farm. We will also need to migrate our K2 BlackPearl server and K2 workflow process.

What is the "Best Practice" migration path for this type of migration?
What is the version of K2 BlackPearl that is supported by SharePoint 2013?

Resolution

Please see the KB article below:

http://help.k2.com/kb001380

SharePoint 2013 introduces Apps Model Integration, as such:

1. K2 Solutions build against SharePoint 2010, need to be rebuilt/recreated against the SharePoint 2013 Apps Model if you wish to make use of Native K2 SharePoint 2013 Apps integration

2. Or those solutions can continue to work in "SharePoint 2013 running in SharePoint 2010 Compatibility Mode"

Although Sharepoint 2013 is supported starting with K2 blackpearl version 4.6.7, we recommend upgrading to the latest release (version 4.6.10). Please see compatibility matrix below:

http://help.k2.com/blackpearl/support-matrix_SharePoint

3. We also recommend testing the migrationprocess in your developmentstaging est environment first before implementing in the production environment.
