Symptoms

Can a live K2 solution (workflows/smartforms) be selectively migrated to a new server? Is it possible to migrate existing (running) workflows to the new server and what is the best practice?
 

Diagnoses

The ability to migrate active process instances with log data between servers and choosing not to reuse the current K2 database is not supported. This is because the dependencies of the K2 database tables are fairly complex.
 

Resolution

The only way is to move over the current database to the new server. This will ensure that the data integrity of the K2 database is kept, and prevents any complications due to improper selective data migration.
