Symptoms

We are planning to upgrade our K2 version from 4.6.6 to 4.7, And we are working on the checklist which we received from the K2 team.
In the compatibility matrix, it is telling that SQL server 2012 SP1 and SP2 are compatibile with 4.7.
But we have a built-up servers with Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (SP3-CU4) (KB3165264) - 11.0.6540.0 (X64), Could you please confirm whether this will be compatible with 4.7 or not?

Resolution

Please have a look at the "Microsoft Product Support Plan" found on the "K2 Product Support and Release Strategy":
https://help.k2.com/k2releasestrategy

Please note:
"K2 will plan to support Microsoft products, service packs and cumulative updates per the following guidelines.
...
* The latest released K2 update will support the latest service packs, cumulative updates, and update rollups for supported Microsoft products at the time of the Microsoft release date".

So, if we Support SQL Server 2012 RTM/SP1 an SP2 and the version after that (SQL Sever 2014), we do Support SQL Server SP3 + CU's.

The reason that that SQL 2012 SP3 + CU is not explicitly mentioned in the compatibility matrix, is because it has not been fully vetted and signed off by our test team. However, if you experience an issue using that version of SQL and it proves to be a compatibility issue with that version of SQL, we will offer you support to get it working.
