Symptoms

Local SMTP server name not recognized by K2 blackpearl Setup Manager, SMTP test fails despite SMTP server settings are correct.
 

Diagnoses

SMTP server test built in K2 Setup Manage may fail in certain scenarios. If your SMTP settings are 100% percent correct (e.g. worked before and no changes were made in the environment), then it is OK to ignore this issue.
After completion of upgrade/installation process you can always verify/adjust SMTP settings using "K2 Connection String Editor" (default location "C:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlHost ServerBinConnectionStringEditor.exe").
 

Resolution

Verify SMTP configuration using "K2 Connection String Editor" and confirm that SMTP is functionality works fine and if this is the case ignore the warning displayed by K2 blackpearl Setup Manager.
