We have a need for the business to customize notification text w/o a WF deploy. What is the best way to integrate with the existing SmartActions/notifications functionality?
 

Diagnoses

Need for text integration without a workflow using SmartActions and notifications.
 

Resolution

It was recommended that the customer use a SmartObject method directly in the notification method, as they want to use database fields to fill in text in the notification. I attached a document detailing how to do this. This will not break previous workflow notifications as it does not use data fields.
