Hi,

I have this scenario: An activity that can lead to Activity A OR Activity B based on some data field.

From what I understand, this can be achieved with conditions in the activity lines or with preceeding rules.
Is this correct? Are there any differences between both methods? Which is the preferred aproach?

Thank you, regards,

 Manuel

Line rules are what would be used here.

Line Rules dictate the path followed in a process.  Preceeding Rules determine when an Activity can begin base on some preceeding data.  Preceeding Rules are only typically used when regrouping after parallel processing.  I'd recommend referring to the help documentation for further details on these.  Also, if you have K2 portal access, you can get the K2 2003 training materials from the Downloads section, that cover these (and more) in Modules 3 and 5

HTH.

Excellent Bob, I got the idea.

 Thank you, regards,

Manuel
