Symptoms

We have a workflow that we are trying to edit, and we can no longer get to it. Trying to edit any workflow via K2 for SharePoint Designer present the error below:

Error: Required item: Process Designer - ConfigurationManagerData setting not found.

Diagnoses

This is a known issue that currently has a TFS item logged against it. In 4.6.9 a number of configuration files were consolidated into a single configuration i.e the K2HostServer.exe.config file

Resolution

As a workaround, please make sure to activate the K2 Features at their SharePoint root site collection level.
This is scheduled to be addressed in a future update i.e. post K2 blackpearl 4.6.9
