K2 Visual Studio and K2 Studio Error editing workflow
 

Diagnoses

When opening some of the workflows you get the below errors in K2 Studio and in K2 for Visual Studio.

Error "Could not load file or assembly ‘sourcecode.Workflow.Design.Forms, Version=4. 0. 0. 0, culture=neutral, Publickeytokern=16a2c5aaaa1b130d” or one of its dependencies
Please advise.

 

Resolution

This error normally indicates that you are trying to open a process that has K2 smartforms client events, but the smartforms client tools has not been installed on the client machine yet. If smartforms client components have not been installed, please try and run the K2 smartforms setup manager on that machine and install just the client components
