Symptoms
We see an error saying "The SQL Server Database configuration test failed as databases of the wrong type exist." when we try installing K2 studio on a machine in our office network while K2 studio installed just fine on the K2 server machine we have.
The collation on our K2 database is: Latin1_General_CI_AS.
Diagnoses
The account used does not have adequate permissions in SQL.
Resolution
Can you please ctrl shift right-click the installer and select 'run as a different user'.
Install as the K2 administrator.
