Symptoms

When using a Rich Text Control with HTML such as the following list:

  • 
    
  • Coffee
    
     
  
  
   

•  
  • 
    
  • Tea
    
     
  
  
   

•  
  • 
    
  • Milk
    
     
  
  
   

and then loading this list into a datalabel (literal = true), the formatting is not as expected. There is additional padding around the items in the list. If the control is changed to a Rich Text control, then it works as expected

Diagnoses

This behavior has been identified as a bug and has been logged.
 

Resolution

A workaround is to remove the space characters from the string.
