Symptoms

 


К2 (SmartActions) server sends out notifications that task with specific ID is not found or not completed. It looks like server starts processing of all incoming emails from its own mailbox and if a user at some point before actioned on any tasks using SmartActions server sends out notification to this user. Problem occurs approximately once a month and it was necessary to clear Inbox folder of a server mailbox to terminate sending of those notifications.

 

 

 

Diagnoses

 


This is known issue when K2 SmartAction email messages being processed multiple times resulting in messages “The K2 server could not find the worklist item…” or "not completed" being sent out to users.
 
Coldfix is available for K2 4.6.6/4.6.7 and fix for this issue is included into 4.6.9 release.

Additional notes:
• Issue occurs when running multiple K2 Host Servers in a load balanced configuration
• Issue happens inconsistently/randomly
• It is worth checking for multiple email configurations in the K2 Host Server config as it also may cause similar issues
