Symptoms

After installing the K2 connect tools the environment was missing the K2 Service Object Designer under the View tab in MS Visual Studio 2013.

Diagnoses

The first step was to check the compatibility matrix found here:

http://help.k2.com/connect/support-matrix

And verify that the version of Visual Studio was in fact compatible with the version of Connect being installed and the compatibility was fine. The most probable reason we wouldn't see the service object designer is if there was some manner of issue with the install.

Resolution

A reinstallation of K2 Connect the Service Object Designer appeared as it should in Visual Studio 2013.
