The deployed processes should be able to run without the need to redeploy them. You should really only have to redeploy if:
- If you want to make use of the new features made available in 4.5
- You want to address an issue with the code in the K2 wizards.
As with any upgrades, do ensure that you test this in a Development or Staging environment prior to Production in order to catch any issues should they occur, but in your case since its only dev, making backups of the databases should be sufficient.
Hi dc,
Thanks for your quick reply. I have few doubts:
k2 process Instances are created in k2 blackpearl 0807(4.8210.3.0) version in our UAT environment. Will the previous instances (version 3.0) work without any problem after upgrading to version 4.5?
Yeah they should be fine as backward compatibility exists between 4.5 and 807 and even earlier versions. A redeploy will only be needed as DC mentioned.
