Hi,

We want to install the K2.NET 2003 CT with SP1 for our costumer. The installation will be a distributed installation (SQL server / K2..NET Server / SPS Server). Anyone knows why it is necessary to install components on the SQL server? What is the installation process? It is install software components or just the database? If only database why it is important to run the installation process on the db server?

Because this SQL server contains critical databases and our customer don't want to install anything on the database server.

P.s: Sorry about my weakly english.
K2 Collaboration Tools (K2CT) has a lot of moving parts including the database, IIS and webservices, and the K2 Server. The health of K2/SPS and the subsequent sequence of installation is critical.

Refer to the K2CT installation documentation for specifics as well as companion articles (KB's) on the K2 KnowledgeBase site for details.
