Symptoms

K2 Integration with SharePoint and SharePoint Workflows

Diagnoses

"Is there is a conflict when the Sharepoint workflows are enable and K2 is also enable.? We want to know this answer since we are working on the workflow that is going to be use for publishing documents on the INTERNET and it is going to be developed using the Sharepoint workflow since it is going to be in the cloud but, at the same time we want to know if they could have a possible conflict if we need to enable this workflow ON Premise."

Resolution

Having both "K2 for Sharepoint 2013 Apps Integration workflows" and "Native Sharepoint 2013 'Workflow Manager' workflows" is supported there should not be any conflict regarding having both workflow engines.

As the K2 for Sharepoint workflow engine and the Microsoft Sharepoint 2013 workflow engine are completely separate we do not have documentation regarding the installation/management of the Microsoft Sharepoint 2013 workflow engine. Below are installation/management documentation for K2 for Sharepoint workflows:

http://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/K2ForSharePoint/UserGuide/4.6.10/default.htm

For the Microsoft Sharepoint 2013 workflow engines, I believe you will need to reach out to Microsoft. Below are some documentation that I was able to find online from Microsoft:
