Symptoms

After a June 2016 update to SalesForce, TLS 1.1 is the forced encryption method in which K2 must use to integrate with SalesForce. As the brokermanagement.exe tool uses .NET 2 by default, this then results in TLS 1.0 being the default encryption method being used, preventing users from registering or refreshing their SalesForce service instances in K2.

Diagnoses

The use of TLS 1.1 requires an update to the .NET framework used by the brokermanagement.exe tool used to create the SalesForce proxy assemblies for integration. .NET 4 is required for this item, so the brokermanagement.exe tool must be updated to enable this.

Resolution

A workaround fix has been created in order to allow the brokermanagement.exe tool to use TLS 1.1. After implementing and using the updated brokermanagement.exe tool, the SalesForce assemblies can be successfully created and moved to the proper location on the K2 server in order to create or refresh the SalesForce Service Instance.

Please contact K2 support via a support ticket to receive the new tool created for Bug 669593.
