K2/InfoPath timeout problem

We recently configured K2 to point to two Active Directories (UK and LA). The connections seem fine. However, during testing of K2/InfoPath workflows we found that some users from LA when submitting an InfoPath form gives a timeout issue.
 

Resolution

The issue seemed to stem from the identity cache taking to long to retrieve the users once this had been resolved. So when the form is submitted the first time, it is unable to retrieve the users from LA and only the UK users, but on the 2nd attempt it is able to complete the submit successfully.

This is a known issue with the identity cache not being able to populate users from multiple domains quick enough, a coldfix was applied to clients environment to speed up the time that is used to resolve/refresh the cache quicker. After this the performance of the cache increased significantly and this in turn brought back all the users from the US domain along with the UK domain.
