In the VS2010 Help/About I see the version number 4.0.4, how do I correlate it to a specific build of K2? (I should be on 1420).

You will have to look at the Add remove programs > View Installed Updates > K2 for Visual Studio (Various K2 Components). From here you can see the exact KB on which each K2 component is running on that machine. HTH Vernon
