The time has come that I want to start using Sharepoint for displaying forms etc.

Quick question, i'm on 4.6.8 throughout on a k2 standalone server.

Where do i install "K2 for Sharepoint"? Does it on the same server? or does it need to be installed on a seperate server where Sharepoint is?

Thanks

The K2 components need the be installed on where Sharepoint is running.  If it is serpeate from K2 then there is a .exe that is shipped with the installation media, appdeployment.exe that needs to be run on the sharepoint server.  going the http://help.k2.com and searching for the appdeployment.exe will give you everything you need to get started.

Thank you,

Ted

Just a note on using sharepoint to display smartfors. I assume you mean embedding the smartform ito a sharepoint page. I saw some users experiencing problems when they upgraded to 4.6.9 and they were usng sharepoint 2010. IE8 is no longer supported and apparently sharepoint 2010 (page viewer webpart and similar) needs dcument mode 8. Obviously this is not a problemif you are planning to use sharepoint 2013.

Thanks for the replies... But is the "K2 for Sharepoint" run on the K2 Server or on the server running sharepoint?

The documentation i read assumes that the K2 standalone server has Sharepoint on it.... This is not the case with our environment.

My k2 standlone server has blackpearl, smartforms and the control pack installed, but not any sharepoint on it. Sharepoint is on other servers in domain

So what do i do?

1. Install K2 for SharePoint on the K2 server(s). It provides the K2 server(s) with components that allows it to interact with SharePoint.

2. In the Installation folder, there is a "AppDeployment.exe". That is to be run on the SharePoint Server to deploy the K2 blackpearl for SharePoint App. Alternatively, you can also install the K2 blackpearl for SharePoint App from the SharePoint MarketPlace.

See "Distributed Installation" in the following:
