I think this is a fairly simple question, but I haven't been able to find a clear answer.

 

Existing environment:

SharePoint 2013

K2 blackpearl 4.6.5

Some SharePoint sites running to 2010 mode, with k2 integration.

 

My question is, when upgrading to the K2 for SharePoint 2013 components, should we remove the older K2 SharePoint components?  What's the best practice here?  I found various documents describing the different scenarios for an upgrade, but I couldn't really establish whether we should or shouldn't remove the older components?

I think you only need to remove the K2 app for SharePoint if it's currently installed. I only upgraded from the RC version to the RTM, in which case I had to remove the exisiting app.
