K2 for SharePoint 2013 installation and Configuration WITHOUT Smartforms
 

Diagnoses

Message : "A SmartForms runtime site could not be found in the autodiscover results" when trying to configure the K2 for SharePoint 2013 on premise app. Are you required to have Smartforms in order to install the K2 for SharePoint App?

 

Resolution

You will indeed need K2 smartforms in order for the K2 for Sharepoint App to work correctly. You can check out an example of the software prerequisites in order for this to be configured correctly.

Software Prerequisites:

- K2 blackpearl 4.6.7 (4.12060.1590.0)
- K2 smartforms 1.0.6 (4.12165.1625.0)
- K2 smartforms Control Pack 1.0 (4.13180.1.0)
- SharePoint Server 2013 Standard Edition
- SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise Edition
- Microsoft Silverlight 4.0.50917.0 or higher (required by the web-based K2 Workflow Designer)
- NET Framework 4.5 (is part of the prerequisite check during K2 blackpearl 4.6.7 installation, and needs to be installed)
- l Internet Explorer 8, 9, or 10 (versions 6 and 7 are not supported) or l Google Chrome (latest released version) or
- Mozilla Firefox (latest released version) or
- Apple Safari (latest released version
