Hi,

We have a problem deploying a large InfoPath process after several deployments ... the problem is as follows:

- We have a large InfoPath process (Project file reached 37 MB), we have successfully deployed this process on a distributed environment as well as a single server environment

- After several deployments on a single server environment (K2 Host server and Sharepoint on the same server) now we are unable to deploy the process anymore as K2 Studio starts the deployment and then after several minutes it stop responding at all (CPU usage drops to 0 and no matter how much time we leave it running it doesn't finish - usually it takes around 5 min to deploy this process)

We thought that maybe the problem is that the process got too big and K2 Studio for some reason can't handle it any more so we tried the following 3 approaches which both failed:

1- We tried to remove some activities from the process to reduce its size (we reached 29 MB which is much less than what we were previously able to deploy); this was in an attempt to check if the problem is because of the large size and therefore maybe we could create an IPC to reduce the size of each process ... the result is that it still refuses to deploy

2- The second approach we tried is that we wanted to check if there is anything wrong with the modifications we lately did in the process so we rolled back to a previous version of the process which we were able to deploy before on the same single server environment ... Unfortunately we still faced the same problem which is that K2 studio still stops responding after a few minutes of starting the deployment.

3- We tried to deploy the process on a different document library thinking that the problem might be because we deployed a large process multiple times on the same document library which might cause a problem for any reason ... Again the same result, the process doesn't get deployed.

Please note that there is probably nothing wrong with the K2 installation or K2 Studio or Sharepoint because we are able to deploy much smaller processes.

Please also note that the configuration of the server on which this is running is 4 cores and 8 GB RAM.

I appreciate if anyone can help urgently because we are supposed to finish deployment tomorrow and this is a shipstopper for us.

Thanks and best regards,

Karim El Kommos

Karim,

Not sure if you got this problem resolved yet, but have you tried using a deploy package instead of deploying through the studio? If you aren't familiar with this, check out this article:
