Symptoms

After running a repair on K2 blackpearl installation and now the K2 Blackpearl server service wouldn’t start. Please see error message below.

Diagnoses

For some reasons, none of the K2 .config files are created in HostServerBin folder after the last Blackpearl repair was performed. The last configuration K2 Repair’s backup went through successfully and the backup files were create in the backup folder (i.e. K2_install_directorySetupConfigurationBackup150923_1Drive - CProgram Files (x86)K2 blackpearlHost ServerBin). So it appears that the most recent K2 Blackpearl repair was corrupted.

Resolution

Downloading the K2 installer from portal site and performing K2 Blackpearl repair from installer media file fixed the issue.
In some cases you will receive a "Type Load" error. If this is encountered we suggest the following: Before extracting, right click the .zip file and select properties, if there is a "UNBLOCK" Button click it and apply.
