Symptoms

HI,

I have been trying to switch from working directly on my development machine to working on an Azure workstation, connecting to my K2 instance. I installed all of the client tools for K2.

When I bring up K2 Studio, in the lower left-hand corner, there is a message, "A connection to the K2 Server could not be established." When I go to my Object browser and try to connect to the environment, I get an error message, "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it".

I realize this is a permissions issue somewhere between the K2 server and my Azure workstation. However, I am having trouble resolving this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Diagnoses

Azure VM's have port closed. In order to get to an azure VM with K2 in it the ports must be opened.

Resolution

Enabling ports 5555 and 5252 on the Azure VM resolved the issue.
