Hi,

I'm new to K2 and I'm trying to write a document (and understand in my own head) about the K2 architecture, how it fits in with other systems around it, etc.

I know it integrates with Microsoft Exhange Server somehow but I'm looking ofr more of a description of how that works.

Obviously if anyone wants to go into more detail about the rest of the K2 Architecutre then that would be great.

FYI, I'm using K2.net 2003.

 Thanks,

Matt

K2.net 2003 works with Exchange in two ways.

1. To send email messages.

Any time K2 needs to send a message it can leverage Exchange. In this case, K2 doesn't actually integrate directly with Exchange, as it can work with any SMTP server, but Exchange is the most frequent one encountered.

2. Exchange Meeting Activity

Enables K2.net 2003 Server to schedule Microsoft Exchange 2003 meetings and determine the outcome of the meeting, based on the responses received from the various attendees

For more information on #2 you can check out the help file in K2.net 2003 Studio.  Search on the term "K2.net 2003 Exchange Components ".

HTH.
