Hello to everyone

 

I have 2 machines Mac 1 and Mac 2.

I have Sharepoint installed in Mac 1 and K2 in Mac 2.

 

I want to install K2 for Sharepoint in Mac 1. Is  it mandatory to install Smartforms and Smartforms Control Pack also in Mac 1 or can it be installed in Mac 2.

 

If installed in Mac 2, how will K2 for Sharepoint refer both components from Mac 1. 

I understand that while installing K2 for Sharepoint , we have to specify an URL . I guess it's the URL for K2 Server .

Hi, SATYAJEET,

 

You assumed correctly - you firstly need to install and configure the K2 Blackpearl server and db, you can then install K2 for Sharepoint on another server and point it to the Blackpearl server db via the host server URL.

 

Distributed install requires special considerations, which are described here http://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2blackpearl/icg/4.6.11/webframe.html#Install_K2forSharePoint.html

 

Make sure you plan for all the relevant prerequisites and permissions before you begin.
