Issue with K2 Tasks in SubSites
 

Diagnoses

We are experiencing an issue with K2 Tasks opening blank when they are initiated in a subsite library. Our workflows are deployed to Content Types. The tasks open properly ONLY if the workflow is triggered from a Library when it is at the root site of the site collection.

This is impacting our ability to process user requests as many of our workflows are intended to be in subsites.
 

Resolution

This was a recognized bug in version 4.6.7 that was resolved in version 4.6.8 . A coldfix is available for version 4.6.7 please log a support ticket to request this fix if you are not able to upgrade at this time.

Instruction for applying this coldfix is as followed:
** Apply the coldfix on all relevant SharePoint App Server and WFEs

1. Copy the .zip file onto all relevant SharePoint App Server and WFEs
2. Right click on .zip file > Property and check if there is an "Unblock" button if so please unblock the file before applying
3. Unzip the file
4. Back up the assembly (SourceCode.SharePoint.WorkflowPages.dll) file that you will be replacing to a DIFFERENT directory

5. Apply the assembly in location specified above
6. Uninstall and apply this same assembly to the GAC
If it can't uninstall, remove it from the registry and then uninstall it. Alternatively, "gacutil" can also be used.

7. Perform an IISRESET
8. Test the task page
