Issue with 'Browse to list item' in workflow
 

Diagnoses

The error persists when trying to use the 'Update list item' workflow step to update list items in a separate SharePoint list to the location of the workflow. When the select the option to 'Browse to list item' and select the current site collection I get the following error when "next" is clicked -

Error Message: SmartObject Server Exception: Inconsistency detected between SmartObject 'FlowDiagrams' and Service Object 'FlowDiagrams' during loading of SmartObject Definition. Method : 'UploadDocumentDocument' not found in Service Object 'FlowDiagrams' Definition.
After this it is not possible to progress.



 

Resolution

It is advised to try and recreate the same smart object that has been created from within sharepoint in correlation to the Sharepoint list. There is a possibility that the smart object may not have been mapped correctly to the service instance or perhaps the original may have been deleted as well. In some cases there could a duplicate smart object that may confuse K2. Be sure to check through the tester if there is any smart objects that may have been created twice.
After this you will be able to navigate to the site collection as well as select the list you may want to update as well.
